I Want To Pay...

I want to pay...

Per Minnesota Statute 280.39 DELINQUENT TAXES PAID IN INVERSE ORDER.

In any case where taxes for two or more years are delinquent against a parcel of land, the taxes, or a portion of them, will be paid in the inverse order to that in which the taxes were levied, with accrued penalties, interest, and costs upon the taxes so paid, without payment of the taxes for the first of such years; provided, that such payment shall not affect the lien of any unpaid taxes or tax judgment.

Inverse ordering means that the first payment is to be applied to the delinquent tax amount due for the taxes payable year immediately preceding the current year.  Any additional payments would continue to be applied in inverse order until the total delinquent amounts due for all years are paid in full.

ACH PAYMENTS

Beginning in 2024, ACH payments will no longer be processed.  Letters will be sent to current ACH payers in early 2024.
