Electronics

Under state law you must recycle electronics.  Electronics are considered a form of household hazardous waste and need to be disposed of properly.  

Items accepted:

  • Televisions
  • Monitors
  • Laptops
  • Computers & any components
  • Printers
  • Fax Machines
  • DVD & VCR players
  • Cable boxes
  • Stereo equipment
  • Cell phones & telephones

Batteries:

battery       *All Batteries must go to HHW Area of Transfer Stations*

  • Batteries must be removed from any toy, appliance, or device you are throwing away. Bring all your batteries into the B Building drive through or pedestrian doors and place on the large wooden cart (on the left side) at South Transfer Station. At North Transfer Station please bring batteries to office.  When visiting the transfer stations, please see an attendant if you are unsure where materials go. 

Where can you take electronics?

These items can be recycled at either of the transfer stations in the county.  When you arrive at the transfer station go to the office where they will further direct you.  Electronics can not be taken to the recycling sheds.

Fees:

There is no fee for Hubbard County residents to recycle their electronics.  There is a fee for any businesses in the county or for any out of county businesses or residents.
