Full Time Position

  

JOB TITLE:                                      Custodian – Full Time position.

 

DEPARTMENT:                              Hubbard County Maintenance

 

HOURS PER WEEK:                     Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

 

SALARY RANGE:                           $10.9451 per hour, start wage, full benefit package (2014 wage represented – union negotiations are open for 2015 forward)

 

DUTIES:                                                          Clean and maintain Hubbard County facilities, including but not limited to vacuuming, carpet cleaning, mopping & buffing floors, washing windows & doors, dusting, garbage and recyclable removal, cleaning & disinfecting bathrooms and other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      Applicant responsible for building security and must be dependable, hard-working, able to follow directions well and work independently, have a basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and the physical ability to do strenuous work, some at high elevation.  Must pass a criminal background check including the completion of fingerprinting.

Transit Driver

 

JOB TITLE:                                      Transit Drivers

 

DEPARTMENT:                              Social Services Department

                                                            Hubbard County Transit Program/Heartland Express

 

HOURS PER WEEK:                     Position #1: 30-40 hours per week
                                                          Position #2: on call/pool driver – variable hours as needed

SALARY:                                       $14.7540 - $19.6263 per hour, DOQ, Position #1 alternate benefit package – no benefits for on call/pool driver (expected start wage, both positions $14.7540)

DUTIES:                                        Drive up to a 19 passenger handicap equipped transit bus in a demand response system or on a fixed route. Assist passengers in loading and unloading, as needed, inspect and perform minor maintenance on bus, report completion and other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      High School education or equivalent.  One year related driving experience preferred with good driving record, should possess a current CDL Class C Minnesota driver’s license with passenger endorsement, and excellent public relations skills necessary.

PT Dispatcher/Jailer

 JOB TITLE:                                PT Dispatcher/Jailer

 DEPARTMENT:                          Sheriff’s Office

 HOURS PER WEEK:                   Part time – Shifts may include days, nights, week days, weekends and/or holidays

 SALARY RANGE:                       10 step wage range w/expected start of $16.2599 progressing to 21.2154/hour

 DUTIES:                                            Dispatch Duties:  Take and dispatch calls for the Sheriff’s Office, Police Departments, Ambulances, Fire Departments, DNR, State Patrol, etc.  Answer 911 phone lines.  Operate radios, coordinate communications between officers or other departments, dispatch backup personnel and/or vehicles, maintain radio logs, initiate required reports, general typing/paperwork and computer queries.  Jail Duties:  Intake/releases, searches, well-being checks, inmate escorts, feeding of inmates, and necessary jail reports.  Other duties may be assigned by the Sheriff or Jail Administrator.  Must be able to attend training and other courses as required.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Must have two years post secondary education or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred, be minimum of eighteen years of age and in good physical condition. Public relation skills are very important.  Must be able to work well in an emergency situation and under stress, possess a valid MN drivers license and pass a physical examination.  Computer skills required.  A thorough criminal background check will be completed on all qualifying applicants.  No felony convictions of record.
