JOB TITLE:                                      Land Commissioner

DEPARTMENT:                              Natural Resource Management

HOURS PER WEEK:                     FT, exempt position (40 hours/week, 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.)

SALARY RANGE:                           $51,314.64 (step 1) - $66,953.74 (step 10) annually DOQ, full benefit
                                                             package (expected start wage $51,314.64)

DUTIES:                                            To administer, direct, supervise and monitor all Natural Resource Management Department programs, budgets and activities, as well as provide accountability regarding the department’s fiscal management.  Manage the department staff.  Advise the County Board and the Public Works Coordinator of department matters and policies concerning the management of approximately 137,000 acres of tax-forfeited land.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years work experience in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related field or an associate of arts degree in Forestry or related degree and six years experience in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related field.
