JOB TITLE:                                      PT Non-Certified Solid Waste Attendant

 

DEPARTMENT:                              Solid Waste Department

 

HOURS PER WEEK:                     Hours will be as needed, Monday – Saturday

 

SALARY RANGE:                           $13.0226 per hour

 

DUTIES:                                                          Assisting and directing public in unloading and processing solid waste and recyclables; maintenance of work area including cleaning and sweeping, etc.; operation of a lawn mower, weed whip, calculator and telephone.  Operate heavy equipment, bulldozer, backhoe, pay loader, fork lift, bobcat, and baler preferred but not required. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      Must enjoy working outside in all types of weather and possess good public relations and communication skills.

Full-Time Position

Natural Resource Manager

 

JOB TITLE:                                       Natural Resource Manager

 

DEPARTMENT:                                Hubbard County Natural Resource Department

 

HOURS PER WEEK:                        Monday through Friday - 40 hours/week with some evening, weekend and/or holiday work possible.

 

SALARY RANGE:                             $19.4561 - $25.3857/hour, ten step wage range (2016 wage per collective bargaining agreement, under negotiation for 2017 wage determination), full benefit package

 

DUTIES:                                             Duties include, but are not limited to, manage the natural resources on approximately 138,000 acres of county-managed tax forfeited lands, as follows:  Develop an annual list of harvest candidate stands based on Forest Inventory data and personal knowledge; establish forest management treatments designed to protect the environmental, social, and economic integrity of the land; Conduct meetings and monitor activities of various management contractors; write prescriptions for natural and artificial regeneration of recently harvested forest stands; conduct phase II forest inventory updates, assist in the maintenance of the Forest Inventory Database and GIS data; plan and schedule forest road maintenance and improvement projects; research and establish property lines; and work with various special interest groups to maintain and improve outdoor recreation. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:        Four year degree in forestry or a related field or AAS with 4 years’ experience.  Job is performed in a variety of environmental conditions:  from high heat, humidity, and insects, to sub-zero winter weather, and deep snow.  This position can be subjected to some pesticides.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.

HOURS PER WEEK:                     Full time, FLSA exempt position (minimum of 40 hours/week, 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.)

 

SALARY RANGE:                           $65,747.14 (step 1) annually, DOQ, full benefit package

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:  To handle civil and criminal prosecution, court proceedings and other matters as assigned by the County Attorney.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have Juris Doctorate Degree and be licensed to practice law in the State of MN.  Prior legal and courtroom experience, specifically in a County Attorney’s Office, is preferred.  Excellent verbal, written and research skills are necessary.  Applicant must be able to pass criminal background checks to obtain CJDN access authorization, pursuant to BCA rules.
