Full Time Custodian Position/s

 

JOB TITLE:                                      Custodian – 1 FT or 2 PT positions

 

DEPARTMENT:                              Hubbard County Maintenance

 

HOURS PER WEEK:                     Monday through Friday, flexible hours depending on FT or PT

 

SALARY RANGE:                           $10.9451 per hour, start wage (2014 wage represented –  2015 & 2016 wages not established – negotiations underway)

 

Option 1 – Full time – benefit package including PTO and Health Insurance, 40 hours/week, M – F – 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Option 2 – Two Part time positions sharing a 40/hour work week – benefit package dependent upon hours worked, may include Paid Time Off (PTO), Sunday to Saturday flexible schedule and hours possible.

 

DUTIES:                                   Clean and maintain Hubbard County facilities, including but not limited to vacuuming, carpet cleaning, mopping & buffing floors, washing windows & doors, dusting, garbage and recyclable removal, cleaning & disinfecting bathrooms and other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      Applicant responsible for building security and must be dependable, hard-working, able to follow directions well and work independently, have a basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and the physical ability to do strenuous work, some at high elevation.  Applicant must pass a criminal background check including the completion of fingerprinting.

Social Services Supervisor I     

 

JOB TITLE:                          Social Services Supervisor I

 

DEPARTMENT:                  Social Services Department

 

HOURS PER WEEK:          FT, FLSA exempt position (minimum of 40 hours/week, 8:00 to 4:30 p.m.)

 

SALARY RANGE:              $60,383.65 (step 1) - $78,786.86 (STEP 10) annually DOQ, full benefit package

 

DUTIES:          Assists the Director in determining the most appropriate and effective ways to implement various laws, regulation, policies, and contracts pertaining to the operation of the Social Service Unit.  Determinations regarding the most effective and appropriate utilization of staff and other resources available to the Social Service Unit so as to work toward the agency’s identified goals.  Supervises the children and family social services division in the agency, providing services in one or more program area(s) such as child protective services, child welfare services,  children’s mental health case management, adoption case management, family based service providers, foster care, day care; and performs related work as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESIn cooperation with the Director of Social Services, selects qualified personnel for the unit.  Identify staff development and training needs and ensures the training is obtained; Evaluates staff performance and recommends appropriate action; Holds individual conferences with staff and interprets agency/state policies, rules and regulations; Reviews care records to ensure the agency and state policies, rules and regulations are adhered to and proper social work practices are being observed; Monitors and evaluates the provision of client services in the program area; Fosters effective community-agency relations and organizes community projects; Participates in community meetings and is responsible for the utilization of community resources; Writes and monitors purchase of service contracts with area vendors; Interviews clients when special problems arise, listens to concerns, grievances and recommends/takes appropriate action; Handles emergency situations when necessary; Performs program analysis and needs assessment; Monitors budget and keeps management appraised of budget deviations; Provides justification for budget deviations to management staff and/or county board; Assists in the planning and development of social services budget and provides the justification and rationale to county board regarding social services unit/division budget needs and request; Assists in writing and developing the agency community social service plan; Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.   

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor degree from an accredited college/university and four years of experience as a professional social worker OR A Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in Social Work, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, human services administration, or closely related field and 1 year of experience as a professional social worker.

PT Dispatcher/Jailer

 JOB TITLE:                                PT Dispatcher/Jailer

 DEPARTMENT:                          Sheriff’s Office

 HOURS PER WEEK:                   Part time – Shifts may include days, nights, week days, weekends and/or holidays

 SALARY RANGE:                       10 step wage range w/expected start of $17.2501 progressing to 22.5075/hour

 DUTIES:                                            Dispatch Duties:  Take and dispatch calls for the Sheriff’s Office, Police Departments, Ambulances, Fire Departments, DNR, State Patrol, etc.  Answer 911 phone lines.  Operate radios, coordinate communications between officers or other departments, dispatch backup personnel and/or vehicles, maintain radio logs, initiate required reports, general typing/paperwork and computer queries.  Jail Duties:  Intake/releases, searches, well-being checks, inmate escorts, feeding of inmates, and necessary jail reports.  Other duties may be assigned by the Sheriff or Jail Administrator.  Must be able to attend training and other courses as required.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Must have two years post secondary education or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred, be minimum of eighteen years of age and in good physical condition. Public relation skills are very important.  Must be able to work well in an emergency situation and under stress, possess a valid MN drivers license and pass a physical examination.  Computer skills required.  A thorough criminal background check will be completed on all qualifying applicants.  No felony convictions of record.
