Kathy Grell was elected to County Commissioner for District 1 in 2010. Kathy is a graduate of Park Rapids High School, holds a BS degree from Moorhead State University and an MBA from St. Thomas University. She has been active in the community serving on numerous local boards. She has an extensive business background and currently is self-employed with her husband Larry building and remodeling homes to meet and exceed energy star guidelines. Kathy advocates for:

Efficiencies in government by applying sound business practices

Protecting our lakes and rivers recognizing they represent a large tax base for Hubbard County

Economic development to increase business and job opportunities

Responsible stewardship of county tax dollars
